Destination Wedding: Cancun, Mexico
There is so much to say about this wedding and couple that I don't think I could cover it in one post! Drew of Cana Video Productions, his wife Anicia and myself were blessed to capture this wedding. I'm a terrible storyteller and writer, but I'll give this a shot. I'll start with the couple... Ivan and Carina are such a fun couple with huge hearts for other people. They are so in love with each other, and I feel like it shows in their photos. They had us in Cancun and Playa Del Carmen for about 4-5 days. The first event we captured was downtown Playa Del Carmen starting at midnight and went to about 5am. The next day was volleyball, hanging out and then a really fun beach party with lots of salsa dancing! Later in the night we were surprised by a group of fire dancers. The wedding day was incredible. We did a pre-wedding shoot before we headed to a church in Playa Del Carmen for the ceremony. The reception followed back at the Mayan Palace in Cancun(Riviera Maya). It was hands down the best food I ever ate in my life, the best mariachi band I've seen, a super fun dance floor and a non-stop party! They had tacos on the beach at 2am, followed by dancing and mingling until 8am to see the sunrise. The day after the wedding we had another fun portrait session and "Trash the Dress" shoot. I loved the place so much that I'm going to Cancun after I get married in July for my honeymoon! It was a great experience and a fun wedding to be a part of!
